What He Said Were “Jumla Details”, Ramesh Alleged That The BJP Government Has Made Gujarat A Hub For Drug Traffickers and Narcotics From Pakistan:-

On Thursday, the Congress demanded to know what steps Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking to address the surge in drug smuggling and narcotics  in the state, accusing the BJP government of turning Gujarat into a center for drug traffickers from Pakistan. Before Prime Minister Modi’s rallies in Gujarat, Jairam Ramesh, the general secretary of the Congress, asked him several questions. “In the massive drug smuggling and narcotics trade into Gujarat, who is the Prime Minister shielding? Who bears the blame for the thousands of families impacted by false land records? Why, despite the BJP ruling Gujarat for so long, is the state still experiencing a water shortage?” Ramesh stated on X in a post.

Expanding on what he claimed to be “jumla details,” Ramesh claimed that Gujarat had become a hub for Pakistani drug trafficking thanks to the BJP leadership. A Pakistani boat carrying 86 kilos of heroin (worth Rs 600 crore) was apprehended by the Indian Coast Guard, Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) a few days ago off the coast of Gujarat. Mephedrone worth Rs 230 crore was taken from two labs in Gandhinagar, one in Amreli, and three in Sirohi, Rajasthan, two days earlier, the official stated.

The largest drug bust in Indian history took place in February when the Indian Navy and NCB confiscated 3,300 kg of drugs near Porbandar. In March, Pakistani nationals transporting drugs worth Rs 480 crore were captured off the coast of Porbandar, Ramesh said. According to him, in several instances, guns and ammunition were taken in addition to drugs. Even though these smuggling attempts were discovered, hundreds, if not thousands more, have entered India. These concerning developments cast doubt on the PM’s claim that he reduced terrorism and drug trafficking during his administration, the Congress leader stated.

“How is the Prime Minister addressing the surge in drug trafficking via Gujarat? Has anyone ever looked into the drug smugglers’ deeper and more extensive networks, which allow them to operate so brazenly, particularly via ports? stated Ramesh.
He asserted that the BJP’s disastrous attempt to digitize land records in Gujarat has caused chaos for thousands of people.

According to him, the state administration has received over five lakh complaints by December 2021 from families requesting a confirmation of the resurvey of their land.
“Hundreds of incorrect records were created as a result of the private companies who were employed to carry out the resurvey regularly taking short cuts. These false records may have a variety of effects, such as slowing down real estate transactions, making it more difficult for farmers to obtain loans, and igniting arguments between neighbors and within families “Ramesh added.

Litigation over property records can last for decades, which exacerbates the situation. He cited an estimate from a 2017 NITI Aayog document that land disputes in India take 20 years on average to resolve.

“The government did not try to assist the thousands of impacted families; instead, it was eager to shift the burden to private organizations. He claimed that “the agencies themselves have also been allowed to walk free.”
He questioned why the Prime Minister had abandoned the thousands of families stuck with false land documents.

“Are those responsible for this blunder ever going to face the consequences?” stated Ramesh.
The PM stated that he needs to address Gujarat’s worsening water crisis when he is there.
“The water level in only 10 of Gujarat’s 207 reservoirs—out of 207 total—is more than 80%. This represents a worrying 62.38% of the reservoirs. The area-wise split shows an even more concerning picture: the water level is 36.42% in 141 reservoirs in the drought-prone region of Saurashtra, 38.31% in 20 reservoirs in Kutch, and 43.77% in 15 reservoirs in north Gujarat, he noted.
“The state’s reservoirs had already begun to dry up before summer officially arrived. He remarked, “The water levels in Prempara in Junagadh, Advana and Amipara in Porbandar, and Gadhki and Sani in Devbhumi Dwarka have reached ZERO.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Surat, Indore show BJP-led NDA on course for ‘400 paar’: Rajnath Singh:

Saran, May 2 (PTI)—On Thursday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted that the events in Surat and Indore demonstrated that the BJP-led NDA was on track to secure more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha.

Shortly after sitting MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy, a former Union minister, filed his candidature papers, the former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made statements during a rally in the Saran Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

“Surat has marked the beginning of BJP’s victory (vijay ka shri ganesh),” Singh stated, alluding to the fact that party nominee Mukesh Dalal was elected without opposition following the withdrawal of the majority of other candidates and the rejection of the nomination papers of the remaining candidates upon closer examination.

“The Congress candidate came out in favour of the BJP in Indore,” stated Singh, referring to the city where incumbent Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani easily defeated opposition nominee Akshay Bam, who withdrew his nomination papers and switched allegiance.

“I have had the chance to speak at public gatherings across the nation during the current elections,” he continued. There has been a tremendous show of support from the public, and I can state with confidence that we will meet our own goal of 400 or more (400 paar). Singh lavished PM Narendra Modi with praise, saying that he “made neighbouring countries realise” that India is no longer a weak nation and that this has led to a significant drop in terror attacks.

“Terrorist assaults are not as common as they were under the previous UPA government, which was governed by Congress. We can retaliate, even across the border if necessary, as has become widely known,” he remarked.

“Under Modi, the country’s standing has increased internationally. India is receiving unprecedented levels of recognition. The battle was temporarily stopped by the presidents of Russia and Ukraine when Modi called them to request the safe return of Indian students, he said.

Singh claimed that “a Congress leader who lives abroad” had supported inheritance tax, which would cause more than half of a person’s wealth to be taken away upon death, without mentioning technocrat Sam Pitroda.

“Investments could be negatively impacted by such a move,” he said.

Additionally, he stated, “Rajiv Gandhi demonstrated his powerlessness against corruption by claiming that only 15 paise of every rupee spent by the government reached the people.” Even Union ministers under Manmohan Singh’s leadership had
