Kremlin: Biden administration created atmosphere for Trump shooting

The Kremlin said on Sunday that it does not believe the current US administration is responsible for the attempted assassination of US presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday, but it did create the atmosphere that led to the attack.

The Kremlin said on Sunday it does not believe the current US administration is responsible for Saturday’s attempted assassination of US presidential candidate Donald Trump, but that it created the atmosphere that led to the attack.

Trump was shot in the ear during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, in an attack now being investigated as an assassination attempt that left the Republican presidential candidate’s face bloodied.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters: “We do not believe that the attempt to eliminate and assassinate Trump was carried out by the current authorities.”

But the atmosphere surrounding candidate Trump … has escalated what America faces today.

“After numerous attempts to remove candidate Trump from the political arena – first by using legal tools, courts, prosecutors and efforts to politically discredit and endanger the candidate – it was clear to all outside observers that his life was in danger.” US President Joe Biden condemned the attack, saying there was no place for such violence in America.

Peskov said Putin had no plans to contact Trump in the wake of the incident.
