Jammu: J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina on Wednesday met the families of the bus driver and bus conductor killed in a terror attack in Reasi district and said the whole country is with them.
“Cowardly Pakistanis have committed a big sin… A bus was attacked in Reasi, killing at least 10 people. Many people were injured in this terror attack,” Raina told reporters.
Lauding the bravery of the driver and conductor, Raina said, “Reasi bus driver Vijay Kumar showed great courage as he lost his life. Similarly, bus driver Arun from Katra district also got martyred.” They lost their lives, acted bravely and foiled major terrorist plots, and I am here to express my deepest condolences to their families and the entire nation with them.
Aftermath
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha called the attack a crime against humanity and urged people to have faith in the courage of the security forces and police in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Three days ago, terrorists committed a heinous crime against humanity. So everyone is angry and we are the ones quenching our thirst. We want everyone to have faith in the courage of the security forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. We will all do that.” “Relief can be felt only after the elimination of terrorists and their supporters from Jammu and Kashmir,” Sinha said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police released a sketch of the terrorist involved in the Reasi bus attack and announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for any useful information about him.
The pictures were prepared based on eyewitnesses’ disclosures and descriptions, the police said in a statement on Tuesday.
A bus carrying pilgrims from Shiv Khuri temple to Katra (famous for the Vaishno Devi temple) was attacked by terrorists on June 9 around 6:10 pm when it was in the Pune area of Reasi district bordering Rajouri district.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group was behind the attack. The JK Police has formed 11 teams to investigate the attack.
