Australia vs Scotland, T20 World Cup Group B match in St Lucia: Scotland won the match first and scored 180/5 with the help of Brendon McMullen’s 60. In reply, Travis Head scored 68 and Tim David scored 24 as the Aussies completed the chase in the final over with five wickets in hand. This loss also knocked Scotland out of the T20 World Cup as England qualified for the Super 8s from Group B on NRR. Australia had already qualified for the Super 8s.

Preview: Australia will be aiming to enter the T20 Super 8 World Cup with four wins from four matches when they take on Scotland in St Lucia on Sunday.

Australia have already qualified for the Super 8 tournament with three wins from as many matches, while Scotland are on the verge of qualification with five points from three matches so far.

If England fail to beat Namibia in the last match – either through a draw or a defeat, the Richie Berrington-led side will earn the remaining Super Eight spot.

If not, Scotland will have to either beat the Australians, who are currently the world Test and ODI champions, or ensure that their net run rate is higher than their neighbours to the south.
