Uttar Pradesh’s Noida: On Wednesday, a fire broke out at a Greater Noida mattress manufacturing factory, causing extensive property damage but no reported casualties, according to officials.
Fifteen fire tenders were dispatched after the incident was reported at 5:15 p.m. from the plant in Surajpur’s Site B area, according to the officials.
Several videos and images of the incident went viral on social media, showing dense black smoke rising from the location and visible in the sky.
“We learned about a fire at MH Polymer, a business that manufactures foam sleeping mattresses, at approximately 5:15 p.m. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene right away, according to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey.
“When we discovered that the fire had spread throughout the company’s whole warehouse, we dispatched every fire tender in the district and also called for five private vehicles.” In addition, we requested assistance from neighboring district fire tenders. But with the assistance of our firefighters and 15 fire tenders, we were able to put out the fire before more assistance could come,” Pradeep Choubey stated.
The officer said that while a great deal of property was damaged, no one was hurt in the incident, and investigations were underway to determine the source of the fire and the extent of the damage.
According to officials, a calf perished in a separate incident at Saini village near D Park in Noida after it was consumed by fire.
According to the CFO, an SUV used to transport fuel spilled diesel, which ended up in the drain along a village street and caused a fire.
He stated that the fire was put out in fifteen minutes after two fire fighters were dispatched to the scene.
