The swearing-in ceremony is expected to be attended by Tollywood celebrities Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Jr. NTR, Mohan Babu, and Tamil superstar Rajnikanth. With eight MLAs, the BJP is probably going to get one or two cabinet roles. The names of Satya Kumar, Vishnu Kumar Raju, and Sujana Chowdary are being mentioned a lot.
Leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), N Chandrababu Naidu, is scheduled to take the oath of office as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh today. At 11:27 a.m., the oath-taking ceremony will be held in Kesarapalli, on the outskirts of Vijayawada, close to Medha IT Park and across from Gannavaram Airport.
Naidu is expected to take an oath alongside other politicians, such as Pawan Kalyan, the chairman of the Jana Sena Party (JSP). A position as Deputy Chief Minister has reportedly been offered to Pawan Kalyan.
In addition to Kalyan, other expected oath-takers include senior JSP politician N Manohar, Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, and TDP Andhra Pradesh leader Atchannaidu.
Five or six seats in the state cabinet are predicted to go to the BJP and Jana Sena. The chief minister and the other 26 ministers can make up the cabinet, given the strength of the Andhra Pradesh assembly (175).
Chandrababu Naidu receives backing from allies
Naidu was chosen as the leader of the TDP Legislature Party and its allies, the NDA, on Tuesday. During his speech to the lawmakers, Naidu declared his dedication to making Amaravati the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.
“I am taking the oath tomorrow (as the CM) with your entire support, and I want to thank you all for that. For the swearing-in event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is travelling, according to Naidu.
Amit Shah, PM Modi, and Chiranjeevi will be present at the swearing-in ceremony.
Amit Shah, the union home minister, JP Nadda, the head of the BJP, and a number of other dignitaries are anticipated to attend the swearing-in ceremony. Top South Indian movie actors, such as megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan, will also be present at the occasion.
Pawan Kalyan’s older brother is Chiranjeevi. Other celebrities like Mohan Babu, Allu Arjun, and Rajinikanth are probably going to be present at the ceremony. An invitation has also been sent to Chandrababu Naidu’s nephew, RRR star Jr. NTR.
The chief ministers of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and Bihar, Nitish Kumar, and Bhajan Lal Sharma, are also anticipated to attend. It’s also expected that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would attend the event.
In addition, according to news agency PTI, which cited TDP sources, invitations have also been sent to farmers who donated their land for the Amaravati capital project.
Some of the people who were supposedly harassed under the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime have also received invitations. It’s unclear, though, if departing CM Reddy has received an invitation to the swearing-in ceremony.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s fourth term
With this, CBN would be sworn in for the fourth time as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. After taking office as chief minister for the first time in 1995, he served two more terms.
Naidu assumed leadership of an undivided Andhra Pradesh during his first two terms as chief minister, starting in 1995 and concluding in 2004. The bifurcation of the southern state occurred during his third term.
The first chief minister of Andhra Pradesh after it was partitioned was Chandrababu Naidu, who held the position until 2019. In 2019, he lost the polls, which allowed Jagan Mohan Reddy to seize the lead.
Naidu has returned in 2024 following the NDA’s stunning win in the legislative elections.
